from event organizer, pamela michelle:
On Saturday, May 1st at South Side on Lamar in Dallas, TX the 2nd Annual Spring Bash will offer up 60 hand-picked indie artists and crafters who will be selling their unique modern handmade goods, including: art, jewelry, apparel, bath & body products, handbags, home goods and more. In addition to quality handmade shopping, the Bash will offer rockin’ DJ tunes to groove to while shoppers sip on a beer or cocktail. Guests can also enjoy crafting their own free DIY craft project, courtesy of Bead Circle; capture the moment with friends in Platinum Flash’s photo booth; and enter for a chance to win top notch handmade prizes at the free raffle benefiting a local animal shelter.
The Spring Bash is not just a craft show, it’s a party. Presented by Etsy Dallas, and organized by a handful of volunteers, the Spring Bash was the answer to Etsy Dallas members’ needs to have an energetic event to sell their work, get to know their fellow crafters and socialize with the public. The primary focus of Etsy Dallas, a juried group of 50 artists living in the Dallas area, is to work together to better themselves, their carft and their community. Etsy Dallas members pitch in to help put the Bash on, from coming in early the day to hang decorations, to hanging posters around town, to planning and organizing the show. Behind the scenes, the Bash is just a big group of close artsy friends participating in group hugs, high-fives and the occasionally busting out of happy dance moves.
if you’re organizing an indie shopping event this spring or summer, i’d love to have you write it up on scoutie girl! drop me a line with your information.
