some monday inspiration

Raw art letterpress - one day at a time print

it’s monday morning! are you taking this week one day at a time or have you bitten off more than you can chew?

speaking of chewing, what i’m dealing with one day at a time right now is some serious lifestyle changes in an effort to get active again and – get this – lose the weight that i’ve gained since giving birth. luckily, jen, over at indie fixx, has put together a twitter tour de force for this very reason!

on thursday, jen tweeted that she was looking to lose some weight. and #indielbs was born! with over 30 tweeters participating in the hastag, there’s always some support online. and just the accountability of tweeting your ups & downs is a great way to stay true to yourself!

jen also set up a blog to catalog recipes, tips, and motivation as we work towards our goals. i made my first post on the #indielbs blog yesterday, talking about how i envision my goal: not in calories or pounds! i’d be just thrilled if you joined us!

one day at a time…

  1. The one day at a time mantra is a staple feature in my daily thinking :) Life handed me some struggles this year when my husband was diagnosed with rare bone cancer only a year after our wedding. He’s unable to walk on a broken leg that won’t heal until 8 months of treatments end. So, needless to say, I’ve had to take a deep breathe and keep repeating to myself “One Day At A Time” over and over. It’s working :) I’m remaining motivated, creative and am even building up my freelance business for the first time since starting 2 years ago.

Love your blog, and best of luck to you with your goals!

  2. I’m taking blog/site promotion one day at a time! So much to learn, so much to do, but know that it’s gonna take time…and a couple of good night’s sleep. I’ve got a solid base now with the excellent help of you, but I need to remember that I can’t ignore my family indefinitely! Oh, and the day job. And the making that is the reason for the site in the 1st place!

  3. catherine,

my thoughts are with you and your family. thank you so much for sharing your story and stopping by scoutie girl.

your site is lovely – much success to you!

  4. that’s the only way to do it, candy! it’s so easy to get discouraged when you don’t get the hits you want on a certain day or can’t understand a silly piece of code.

but one day at a time, you’re sure to realize your dreams as you’re working hard & staying focused!

    thanks for sharing!
