i first found out about this project from kimberly, over at chez sucre chez, while she was working on that fabulous 99 red balloons embroidery project – remember? spoonful is a happiness companion compiled by anthea krook. frustrated with her day job as a graphic designer but inspired by the beauty and happiness all around her, anthea focused her need for something “spoondiful” into a delightful & inspiring little zine.
Spoonful is a short and inspiring little publication which, in light of our insanely busy lives and increasing ‘oh no, I must find time to read x’ can be finished by the end of a train ride. Packed with collections of thoughts on happiness, ways to see what we have anew, and spilt milk tales of people who failed, but survived to tell the tale, there is nothing out there quite like it at the moment.
It is my contribution to others out there, to share in the collections that remind us what it’s all about, and that it’s all going to be okay. I wanted to collect the things, words, images, & creativity that has helped get me through, and place these collections somewhere tangible, and in a form that you can carry with you, so that we can all feel and remember, that’s it’s beautiful to feel alive. Printed on 100% recycled stock, Spoonful is beautifully soft, & after reading will genuinely make you smile.
you can pick up a copy of spoonful for just $6.50 – and i’m sure you’ll giggle when you get the cute little australian airmail package like i did!
