my lola *decided* to be max for halloween this year. last year was technically her first halloween, but she was a bit too young and too sleepy to get in on the festivities. not to mention that daddy and i weren’t really able to get into the spirit (it’s not our favorite holiday).
this year is quite different! i’m so excited to take her around town – or at least to the in-laws – all decked out in her handmade halloween finery.
now onto who created this outrageously fabulous – if i do say so myself – rendition of max’s wolf suit a la where the wild things are. my mother is a professional seamstress, designer, and all around magician with a sewing machine! she created this costume by tweaking an infant lion costume. she crafted ears, a furry tail, claws, and buttons. currently, she is creating at l. blanche designs and blogging at the fabric shopper. my brother and i always had fantastic, elaborate, and impeccably engineered costumes when we were young.
speaking of my brother, marty seefeldt, he was today’s photographer. he also happens to be a digital artist & video game designer. you can view some of his work at deviantart.
please share you own halloween goodies (pics, posts, & links!) in the comments below. can’t wait to see!
