enhabiten pillows

this week, you have a chance to win one of enhabiten‘s signature cross pillows. liane, the crafter behind enhabiten, was recently featured as etsy’s quit your day job seller!

liane creates pillows out of both vintage and new textiles – including her trademark tea-stained hemp. the pillows are then stuffed with either kapok or cotton.

“kapok?” you say. well, maybe you didn’t say that, but i sure did! liane explained, “kapok is a soft fluffy material sort of like cotton but silkier. It comes from the seedpod of the kapok tree. It’s grown without herbicides or pesticides and can grow in poor soil. The material is light and boyant and resistant to water. It was used in the past as a filling for life preservers for those reasons. It’s hypoallergenic and environmentally friendly.”

  1. I love the white cross hemp and kapok pillow all of their pillows are gorgeous

Thank you for the chance to win

    PS tweeted it! @pritzy 😀

  2. i loved the: “black handsewn cross hemp and kapok pillow”
the exact one from the picture! i think it would look great for my sofa!

  3. I love the simple embroidered branch lavender cushion – nice simple design, and I bet the lavender smells lovely!

  4. The chenille cushions remind me of bedcovers when I was very small (my town was stuck in the 50s). The kapok does as well. We used to love it when pillows split and we could play with the insides :-)

  5. So very hard to narrow it down to just one, but right now I am so loving the cottage vintage barkcloth pillow with wool and eco kapok —
