Hi there! I’m so excited to be a part of the Scoutie Girl team. My first post is a really easy project that you can do to personalize your gifts. It’s perfect if you’re a Parks and Recreation fan like me (or just really love to celebrate with lady friends)!
What you need:
- a printer/printer paper
- scrapbook paper
- embroidery thread and needle
Start by printing your Instagram photos. If you have your own printer or photo printer, simply make a collage of all the photos you want to use so you don’t waste paper printing each one separately. (If you don’t have a photo program you use regularly on your computer, there are lots of free web based options like PicMonkey.) But if you’re just making one of these you can skip this step altogether. And if you don’t have access to a printer you can order prints of your Instagram photos through services like Printstagram.
Honestly, you can make these gift tags any size you want. So if you’re aiming for larger or smaller gift tags then just use these measurements to help scale your own project. But for the sake of simplicity I’ll say that my Instagram photos measure a little over 1in x1in. Then I cut 2in x 3in pieces of scrapbook paper to go with each photo. Fold each piece of scrapbook paper in half so that the plain side is on the inside. Glue your photo to the front center of your folded card. Let it dry, and then write a personalized message on the inside. Finish it up by using your embroidery thread and needle to string the gift tag onto your gift.
That’s all there is to it! I hope you enjoyed this little project because I’ll be back with more soon!
