As an artist myself, I always feel most inspired while looking at other’s artwork. Luckily, because I run an exhibition site, papernstitch, I am surrounded by beauty everyday. Papernstitch is a site that was started to help promote artists and makers gain some much-deserved exposure. We are now entering our second exhibition, and all of the artists in this round-up can also be found on the papernstitch site. I hope some of these works inspire you as they have me.
Totally Textured
Top. Inspiration Apples Set of Three from Lapomme and Knitware Coasters from Alyssa Ettinger
Bottom. Gunmetal Grey Cowl from Moocow Hand Knits and Sea Urchin Sterling Silver Ring from Star of the East
Today it's all about texture, with these fabulous finds! I would love to have any one of these pieces for myself (especially that sea urchin ring) but each of these textured goodies would make for a delightful gift for that someone special as well.
Studio Morphologie

Top. Ginger Necklace and No. 2 Micro-Art Series
Bottom. Inked Chartreuse and Flown Series, Peacock and Pecan
Amy from Studio Morphologie makes artfully simple (yet complex) jewelry that pairs modern shapes and forms with organic thread detailing. The results are stunning. Certainly anyone on your holiday list would be lucky to receive one of Amy’s handmade pieces, especially an artsy but sophisticated friend or family member. Pattern and Paper
Top. Take a Letter Miss Jones, Bowls Writing set and I think Your Dress is Very Beautiful Wooden Book Bottom. Hopeless Love Wooden Triptych and Hello Goodbye, Patterns Notecard Set
Recently, while searching for cards and stationery for the upcoming holidays, I stumbled on the Mrs Eliot Books shop. There are pages and pages of goodies, including prints, cards, even handmade, wooden books. So cool. I picked a couple of my favorites, and I especially love the pattern in the bowls writing set.
