Art to Inspire: 7 Reminders You Should Hang in Your Workspace

Imagine if every time you were feeling unsure, stuck, or in a rut, you could simply look up and be reminded of the things you have forgotten along the way. Well, guess what? You can! You just need to track down a few posters or prints that speak to you and hang them where you’ll see them most – in your studio or office.

Not sure where to find these thoughtful inspirations? I’ve picked out my seven favorites to get you started.

(above) 1. Make Magic Happen and 2. Always Stay Well Tuned

3. Just a Little Encouragement

4. Don’t Let Yesterday…

5. Dream Big

6. Change the Conversation and 7. Creativity

  1. These are great; I just love that Will Rogers quote! It’s funny; just yesterday I put 5 new cards in my etsy shop with inspirational quotes on them. {farflungcards.etsy.com}. Must be something in the air!

  3. I have a piece of fabric hanging in my studio that says “Of Course You Can” It’s been there for years. (Pic of it here: http://tashamillergriffith.com/2012/03/05/of-course-you-can/ )

I like to change other things around, but I’m inspired by having photos of friends and family, lovely cards, things I’m working on etc. hanging up. I also write quotes on my white board and leave them for a while, like “Be Yourself.” Even though it’s a cliche, sometimes it’s what I need to see in the morning!

  4. I’m prone to panic on one end of the spectrum and giddy excitement on the other– and when I’m at either end of the spectrum I don’t work well.

I made my own Nook cover and it’s inspired by the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, on the front there’s a hitchhiking thumbs up over a planet with a ring around it and on the back (in big friendly letters) it says Don’t Panic. When I’m not reading from it, I leave the back facing outward as a reminder.

I also love the simple “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster (and the story behind them is also fascinating). I have one on the wall behind my computer so I don’t even need to turn my head to see it.

  5. I’m loving every single one of these. The way “Always Stay Well Tuned” is framed and photographed is inspiring me so much right now.
