What great advice! It’s hard to convince myself, but you make a great point….off to dream up an adventure :-)

My mornings sound precisely as you described it (so routinetly confortable, but sometimes so tasteless). Last Wednesday with my partner we decided to get up before sunrise, go for a walk and take pictures (we love taking pix)… not only we made some among our best pictures (!), but the new “adventure” made our day bright with a new light! So inspiring and so exciting!

LOVE this post! The cool thing is that an adventure doesn’t have to be a big thing–sometimes a little thing like an early morning walk can change your attitude. It’s about keeping a fresh point of view. Thanks for the reminder.

Hey Brittni – Love this post!

I just arrived in Miami, FL 2 months ago (a far cry from my home in PA/NJ) to pursue a PhD in chemistry (if that’s not an adventure, then I don’t know what is!). Even after a few short weeks, this brand new place is starting to feel like home. It helps that we punctuate our week with little outings to get to know the area better. For example, we love food, so my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip up to a local food truck rally and try as many dishes as we could! It’s little events like this that help us to get out, get inspired and break up the monotony of the work week :)

    A great post!

I used to be a bit adventurer, as I picked up and moved from Australia to Japan a couple of times and jumped into starting new businesses.

Now with a little one at home to consider the risk seems higher, the adventure seems harder to do. So yes, I’d like to have some little adventures.

My latest was joining a silversmithing class, something that while I’m sure it will help my business in the long term, for now is just for me. Those 3 hours a week are special little carved out spaces of time for me and to make pieces just for me.
