So inspiring! I have been a potter for 30 years and the well crafted life is something I think about often. Living with handmade Craft to me is the difference between a carefully considered or a fast and thoughtless lifestyle. It is not unlike what I have been learning in my meditation class.
Thank you for this wonderful reminder.

    Scoutie,
I am lucky enough to work for Carol Sauvion, and I wanted to share with you and your readers that she has a new blog for her Craft in America Study Center. (The Study center is next door to Freehand Gallery. Carol holds craft lectures, hands-on workshops (free of charge, materials provided), artist receptions and exhibitions at the Study Center. She often features the artists in her Craft in America Documentary series, or artists that she consigns in Freehand Gallery. In addition, there are many interesting things to discover in the Study Center’s library and displays. The Study Center blog is focusing on interesting little jewels found in the library, and informing readers of the current exhibitions and workshops on the calendar. Here is the blog: http://www.seelearncraft.blogspot.com/

The Study Center always has something fun up its sleeve–I’m so glad there’s a blog that’s letting people know what’s going on!

Freehand is such an amazing store! Truly a gem. I feel so lucky to live in Los Angeles and be able to shop here on a regular basis!
