You’ve been reading my thoughts on creative living, mindful spending, and bringing more soulful goods into your life for awhile now. And you’ve got some ideas of your own.
Well, I’d love to hear from you!
I’m interested in broadening the perspective here at Scoutie Girl. It’s not just about me and what I think – but about a whole creative community with diverse opinions on the issues that face our day to day lives. If you have something to add to the conversation, your voice is welcome here.
Posts, of course, must be well-written, decisive, entertaining, and useful. Tall order? Not really, you can do it – I have faith in you.
Take a look through older posts, get a feel for what we’re talking about, and let ‘er rip! When you have a great idea or a full post ready, use the contact form to get in touch.
P.S. I’ve reopened the Advertising page where you have a great opportunity to grab ad space for September through the holiday shopping season. Remember, because Scoutie Girl isn’t about stuff – but how buying handmade can make you a better consumer & change the world – your ad isn’t competing with the editorial, it complements it!
P.P.S. Check out Fresh Snapped Photos from Lori Dunbar for more fantastic images like the one above!

Hi Tara
I’m a follower of your blog, love how you keep it interesting and helpful at the same time! I’m also a vintage seller on etsy and also now on sellsimply.
I’d like to write a post on your blog about the sellsimply site. I’ve done one recently on my blog, http://solsticehome.blogspot.com/2010/06/heads-up-sharing-sellsimply.html, but i feel it is one that should be featured more. It’s a new site that I am finding very easy and helpful to my business. This is not a replacement to an etsy shop, but rather a nice addition to an internet selling experience.
Thanks so much for your consideration.
Sue
wow tara! thanks for the feature of my photo! what a nice surprise to see my own photo loading on a post where i wasn’t expecting to see it!
I would love to hear more from Sue about the sellsimply site. Great into to share! I have an etsy site and would like to branch out and the simplicity of this site seems to be very time effective. Something we all need.

I would love to write a guest post on creative living, more specifically how to get teens involved and interested in handmade so that they don’t grow up to be consumers of mass produced goods. (My obstacle at the moment is a teenage daughter who loves shopping in big box stores even though she has been raised on handmade and DIY.) I don’t know if you have many readers who have teenage children, but those who have small children will have teens in a few years!! Even if you don’t like it, I’m writing it for my assignment for the chapter ‘Writing a Story-driven Blog Post’, so I’m getting practice! I’m nearly finished, and I wanted to know how I can send it to you.
Thanks for your great post and dialogue on Scoutie Girl.
