OMG, I love Jane Eyre…the book and the 2006 film. (I’ve seen just about every rendition, I think. That one’s the best.) Jane has such determination and pluck. She’s timeless.

Welcome to SG! Your picks are great! :)

I’m really going to have to get my hands on a copy of that movie! I’ve been obsessed with the BBC Pride and Prejudice for so long I’m sure I’ll love this one too!

Oh that has long been one of my all time favorite books (I so identify with the quiet introverted characters of literature!) and I reread it every few years. I grew up watching the old BBC five hour version, but once I saw the 2006 film it became my favorite; that Rochester is definitely the most swoonworthy! I love that first pendant you picked; it has such lovely texture to it.

Thanks for such a fun post that is close to my heart!

These items fit so perfectly with your obsession – nice angle Melissa – work it! The gocco print is strong for me – message and image. My only recollection of Jane Eyre is reading it by choice in 8th and by requirement in 9th – freaked me out both times. Maybe I need a do-over.

The first time I read Jane Eyre it was listening to it on tape when I commuted an hour each way to and from college. I was so obsessed I would call my then fiance (now husband) to tell him all the things that were happening with Jane! A couple of months after I finished the book, he asked me how my friend Jane was because he hadn’t heard about her in awhile and he wondered if we were still friends….hahaha. He hadn’t realize that Jane was a fictional character in a book I was reading/listening to!

I Love that vintage sweater! Very Jane Eyre.

Glad to see you guest blogging here! Now I can read your stuff in two places! :)

P.S. My current obsession is Pride and Predjudice, have you seen that bbc one yet? Although, if I’m completely honest, my guilty pleasure is the newer version with Kiera Knightley.

Yo, Melissa! *S*…..You make as good of a guest as you do an original.

Oh how I love Jane Eyre! No matter which version, I cry every time I watch it! I really like that gocco print. :)

I’m a huge Jane Austen fan but my mom has been telling me for years to read Jane Eyre. I picked it up when I was like a freshman and couldn’t get in to it. Maybe I’ll try again…thanks for the inspiration :)
