Meritmarket

an absorbent coaster makes for a happy table ~ and a happy table makes for a happy camper. these mod coaster sets are hand-printed with original designs onto unbleached cotton - how about the flecks of fibers and the nubby, linen-like character of this fabric? scrumptious. i found these when i was checking out my followers on twitter yesterday! the designer, Mendy, told me that she's a seamstress & prefers to make things that are cute as well as functional. i smiled when she said she was cursed with "I think I can make that" disease. you're not alone, Mendy, not even for a second! show of hands? If you've ever been curious about what makes Scoutie Girl tick, please read this Blogger Q & A I did with Amy of Pikaland. What catches my eye and why…what I'm most likely to write about…what's the best way to submit your work…that kind of thing. Be sure to read the submission guidelines here, too.

Amy's series includes excellent info to have in your backpocket if you're considering submitting your work to a blogger – she's interviewed some of the best (and some of my personal favorites so far)! It was a privilege to be asked – thank you, Miss Amy! As an artist myself, I always want to know the inside scoop when I can – get a leg up!

i love the peaceful qualities of a mobile, (specifically in an office setting) and i love that there are a ton of options out there that are sophisticated enough for adults. the clean and modern examples i've found below are a few of my favorites.
