Cathynichols_paintings
the word ‘winsome’ came to mind as soon as i saw these lovelies. so refreshingly pretty and simple, these floral paintings are part of a new series by this talented artist. the vivid hues evoke happiness, while the casual stillness of each one is very calming. perfect alone or in a grouping – there are 4 others in this series. each print is 7" x 7" and printed on 8.5" x 11" velvet, fine art paper; signed and titled beneath the image in pencil with a white border for easy framing. found via creative thursday. Artist: Cathy Nichols

Zeichenpress_cards
you know a card is on-the-spot when you immediately conjure "the perfect recipient" of the message in your head – good and bad alike! i did that through the entire collection of these retro-styled and lampoonish cards. these 2 sister-in-law designers teamed up when one purchased an antique letterpress and had some big ideas. their cards are printed on recycled paper and come with a coordinating envelope. they also design custom cards, posters, coasters, cd covers and any manner of collateral biz materials. [zeichen means 'character' - love the dual meaning here] Designers: Fran Shea and Jen Shea

Snapdesign_shoulderbags
it all comes together in these roomy, made-to-order shoulder bags. if you sew, you will notice (and be impressed by) the decorative topstitching straight away. if you don’t sew, please know that this is a big deal – one mis-stitch and the whole thing is scrap. (try it if you don’t believe me!) the clean lines and colorful vinyls lend themselves well to this kind of snazzy styling, too. practical, waterproof and durable, they’re made one atta time by the designer. she also offers totes, laptop bags, pod wallets, and distinctly original record books (made from old LPs). Kaybu_accessories
coasters, handbags, t-shirts, belts, pillows, onesies, headbands – these are just some of the items that emerge from this artist’s silkscreened designs. her graphics are fresh and simple, and her spectacular sewing skills bring each item into being (not sure about the tees). she strives to create everyday, functional items that are comfortable and beautiful. i think she’s hit her mark b/c there’s not an item here I wouldn’t use – very appealing style! found via poppytalk Indie Designer: Meghan Burch
