Annasofia_necklaces
how about these necklaces?! looks like ceramic or glass, but it’s actually paper! for real. these are so well-conceived and concocted- they pretty much define what handcrafted is to me: original design, creative materials and superior craftmanship. each piece consists of meticulously cut and stacked layers of illustration board, which is then covered by tiny pieces of decorative paper and a special finishing glaze. i’ve made it sound simple, but i know it’s not! she also features bracelets, earrings and custom designed pieces. lightweight, vibrant and stylish! thanks for sharing, anna! let’s not mince words: i’m a t-shirt girl. i’ve been slowly converting my plain t-shirt stash to designs like these, which feature works of art in graphic design. here, subtle prints that run underneath the main design give dimension, and special inks (like gold) popped in here and there give them a little sump’n-sump’n (aka: interest). you might even find a bit of random decorative stitching on a collar or sleeve. all designs are original hand-drawn artwork! men’s apparel is available as well. t-shirts range in sizes, styles and colors…check ‘em out. i found these brassy cards when this designer left a comment on the paper wallets post – thanks! sometimes it pays to be vocal. in her case, that might be true in more than one way. she makes artful and original cards that run the gamut from gritty and nasty (see nastee notes) to super-sweet and sentimetal. she’ll customize invitations for any occasion. these 4.38 x 5.34 cards are printed on white acid-free linen paper, some are embellished with a swarovski crystal. individual and sets. she has other fab stationery at bluesugarpress.com, nasteenotes.com, and vanessacavacodesigns.com. Indie Designer: Vanessa Cavaco

***From Feb 14th to Apr 1st, 50% of each item sold in her shop will be donated to the March of Dimes "March for Babies"  Not only will you be getting cool stationery, but you’ll also be helping a worthwhile cause. Her son was born 13 weeks premature, and the March of Dimes is near and dear to her heart.***

i guess i’m on an unconventional container kick today. i was pouncing on etsy and found these must-post, outrageously cool paper wallets called "moolas"! they’re meticulously folded by hand to yield a sturdy, clever, ready-to-go wallet. each one measures 3.75" x 2.75" (closed). will hold 4 credit cards or license(s) – please tell me you don’t have 4 of either one! inside center holds your cash. no tape, glue or staples. for men or women! they wear very well, but at this price, you can afford to recycle and replace them as needed. a tres nouveau leather-free idea! moola designer also has this very cute site: we & the bean Indie Designer: Kris

look again. closer…closer….do you see it? it’s an envelope alright, but one whose contents you certainly don’t want to distribute beyond your own fingertips. it’s a soft and cushiony laptop sleeve! made out of a poly-microfiber fabric with a fuzzy interior, it includes a strong velcro closing strip and a red string-tie for effect. graphics are screen-printed onto the fabric, and then she sews each one individually. fits MacBook Pro and MacBook Air (15" and 17"). i’m sure they would fit a few others as well. i have been admiring the Mac commercial for this thin laptop – very effective advertising. (unlike all the other incredibly disappointing ads on during the super bowl this year. the only reason i watch the game.) many other funky things to see on this website: cards, onesies, pillows, t-shirts Indie Designer: Diana Rodgers
